What an awesome place!
Decided to find out why the line was so huge at this udon restaurant last night. Super pleased I did!
I arrived so I wasn’t too hungry and wouldn’t be impatient waiting in line. I can be pretty impatient when I’m hungry.
Worth the wait. I love open kitchens. You can see them making the udon. It’s a step by step kind of place. You choose your udon (kake, curry etc) the tempura you want to go with it and you’re done!
I had Kake udon ( noodles in hot broth) with two prawn tempura and an eggplant tempura. The total cost was about $9USD.
Oh my was it delicious. I couldn’t even eat half the noodles, huge servings (surprise I’m in America) and the tempura was perfect.
This place deserves a line. If you’re ever in Waikiki, make the effort and go there.
It’s just a block up from Ohana West.
